This book is based on Maladies of Hevea in Malaya by R. N. Hilton (published in 1959 and is out of print). The introductory section gives a general account of the various diseases and disorders, followed by a chapter on the general principles of crop protection as applicable to rubber. The main part comprises descriptions and illustrations of forty maladies that are likely to be encountered in a rubber plantation.
