Malaysian smallholders’ rubber: issues and approaches in further processing and manufacturing

This monograph is based on a paper presented to the Workshop on Structural Changes and Transfer of Technology in Rubber Industries of Malaysia and Indonesia — Macro and Micro Perspectives, organized jointly by the Universities of Adelaide and Queensland and sponsored by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) in February 1985 The aims of the workshop were (a) to review the problems of smallholders in the natural rubber industry, (b) to establish the research priorities for the rubber industry and (c) to develop a set of proposals for collaborative research between Australians, Malaysians and Indonesians which will be consistent with the role of ACIAR.
