Market grades of Malaysian natural rubber
Practically all the natural rubber which appears on the world market is derived from the latex of Hevea brasiliensis, a tree native to the rain forests of Amazonia. Towards the end of the 19th century seeds from South America were used to establish the plantations of South East Asia, which are now the main suppliers of natural rubber.
